The Little Shop of Horrors licensable art (like many of the brands I work with) was from the original Off-Broadway production and thusly, not digitally compatible. We needed new art that stayed true to the spirit of the original (brand continuity is very important for popular titles like Little Shop, and the stakeholders wanted to keep the original plant illustration) with a fresh, digitally pliable interpretation.

I used a texture from the plant illustration to build the curtain fabric. That, in addition to the amplification of the spotlights and the use of a vibrant green, gives the art a show-bizzy and vaguely creepy vibe befitting this cult classic.
